Hello everyone...

So I finally did it! I started my own blog, with the idea that I can now more easily share my creations, ideas and thoughts with everyone, friends, family and everyone else as well.
It is finally quiet in the house, and I got a chance to sit down and actually hear my own thoughts for the first time today. The rain outside, my little one's crankiness from getting her first molars (all 4 are working on coming in, and has been for the last few weeks poor girl!), and my older one is working on trying to take over my role as a mom, with an attitude as well! And today I was just too tired to get a play date in, and now I'm being punished for it! Oh the joy of motherhood! But, I didn't want to make this place all about my motherly complaints, but about creativity and ideas. Currently I have taken up sewing again, which besides curtains, pillows and the occasional mending, I haven't done much of since middle school. About 6 months or so ago, I got into reading other people's blogs about projects they had made, and it got me going. So here I am, a few successful (and a few not so successful) projects later. Most are for my two daughters, whom seem to enjoy wearing my creations, no matter how happy I am with them, lucky for me.
I have made few things for myself as well, but so far I haven't yet dared to wear any of it, all though that was kind of the point, originally. Mostly skirts, since they are so easy, and so much fun. My older one is into anything that twirls, so if it doesn't twirl, she will not wear it. Which makes lots of laundry, and lots of unused clothes in her closet. So after seeing some great tutes online, I decided to make her some. Now both her and her sister have 4 new skirts, all mostly twirling. Hopefully we will get some use out of them, and make mommy a little less stressed about doing laundry every single day.
Here are some photos of the two sisters, wearing my newly made creations. Thanks vegbee for your great creations, and getting me to start sewing again! And for the rest of you, her is a link to her great tutes, and fun stories. Enjoy, and hope to see you here again soon!
